Let's be honest

I have got out of the habit of this blog thing.
I am thinking of taking a break.
If you are still interested in what interests me head on over to my tumblr, I'm using it as a digital inspiration board, and I promise to be more active on my IUOMA page, with regards to my mail art habit.

P.S. I have achieved my NYResolution to watch all of Wes Anderson's films, having watched bottlerocket last week. Yay for innovative post-post modern artists like this genius of a filmmaker! His movies make me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Got a secret?

Tell it!!
There is an exhibition going on at the moment at the MCA in Sydney, and another starting next year in Seoul.
You send a secret, and someone who visits will send one to you.
Cool eh?
Check it out here and get in on the fun!

4 down 3 to go

Quite possibly looking like the easiest new year's resolution ever!
I have now viewed and enjoyed
>> Rushmore
>> The Royal Tenenbaums
which join
>> Fantastic Mr Fox
>> The Darjeeling Limited
on the "Wes Anderson Watched List"
Now I just have to source the remaining three films which may prove a little more difficult, as they seem to be the more obscure of his films.

Lomo Lovers!

I did a LOMO photography course a month or so ago with Yolanda Stapleton at FAC.
Basically we ran around the grounds on the most ridiculously humid and hot day and took photos first off with a (fabulous toatally going to be my next purchase) Fisheye camera, and then exposed the same film using an oktomat.
We covered some of the lenses with cellophane and colour flash gels while using both cameras.
So I got a copy of the images this week in the mail and was excited/ surprised at the results! It was hard sometimes to remember what we actually took photos of, and I've been squinting at the photos to try and work it out.
These are to ones I think worked out well, 13 out of 39 images is actually an amazing result when there were two of us simply taking random photos, and mucking around for a few hours.

I got a tumblr account. I'm not sure if it's a good thing. I seem to be spending a lot of time on a derive around the internet looking for cool images to post up there. I like how informal the format is... like just post what you like. Yeah so it's here: Ch-ch-check it out!

I've fallen in love

With Wes Anderson's films!
I have a new (and late) new year's resolution. To see all of his movies this year. Admittedly it is the easiest of my resolutions (which include not procrastinating uni work and getting my 21st birthday tattoo).
So starting a tally, I've already seen
The Fantastic Mr Fox (TICK)
The Darjeeling Limited (TICK)
all that's left is:
Bottle Rocket
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
Hotel Chevalier
I love the awkwardness, the aesthetic and the silence of the two films I have watched. I hope the others are as awesome!
For some more Wes Anderson love check out this tumblr... ok I know I'm obsessed!!
